G4 cube question

I ordered a power mac g4 cube. Now this computer has no audio output. I cant find any pics of original dac. Was there a dac included?
Anyone know anything about this?

I cant find one, or even what it looks like, anywhere

DAC - as in Digital to Analong converter? 

I don't think there was a DAC in the G4 cube.

The DAC came with the speakers. The speakers are called Apple Pro Speakers i think. Made by Harman Kardon

Yes.

There is no audio output on the g4 cube, needs a dac.

I have apple pro speakers, came with my imac g4, but didnt need dac so didnt come with one.

And yeah, it came with the Apple Pro Speakers.

Well I found it pretty cheap, 150$.

OK. I guess I'll just use my lab Own DAC, or find one for sale

The G4 cube needs a DAC, that's right. What is it called? Not a clue, sorry.

 

Since you already have pro speakers, best of luck trying to pick up a dac for them so they work with the cube.

This guy was able to solve the problem i think. But it is rare and expensive.

Just check that the jack isn't some proprietary rubbish on the speaker side.

I know 100% it is. Apple pro speakers I own are proprietary
