In my experience these dreamspark keys rarely expire.

But I like win 8.1 especially for gaming and productivity.

The Price for the upgrade from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 will be less than the price from Windows 7 to Windows 10.

Gpu's, program, OS. Doesn't most of these suck in the beginning? Isn't it better to wait a couple of months to buy it?

In school and on my school laptop I used Windows 8 and I hate it. For example it is pain in the ass to switch the computer off

I got Windows 8.1 from Dreamspark and I love it. It has great features, usable UI(they have a button to switch the PC off, search engine works quickly, you are not forced o use the Metro UI), great multi monitor support with many handy features, and it is quick! I recomend it, windows 8.1 is a different animal than 8

So is it even worth it to buy/get it when it comes out?

For the record, I got Windows 8.1 on my School laptop and I have no problem with it.
I have downloaded Windows 7 start (button) though.

So it looks like Windows 7.

You you mean Windows 10? not sure, I never had a problem with 8.1 on launch, since you can even use Windows 7 drivers and programs

I assume 10 is the same, it might take a short time for full optimisation but people are using windows 10 now and it seems just fine

Yeah I use Start8 on my PCs

GPU's don't really have problems that often, but there is often problems with the GPU drivers

Yes, I meant driver problems.

Like lots of blue screens etc.

Or game problems because of the gpu.

You can not use Windows 7 Drivers and programs all the time, most of the time yes, but sometimes it doesn't work,

An example would be when I was fixing a PC for a friend, and I thought I would upgrade them the Windows 8, but there were no Win8 drivers only Win7 drivers, and I tried install the Win7 WIFI driver and it failed to even install, even in compatibility mode
