So my graphics card arrived today (MSI R7 260X) and it came with a cable that I have no idea what it does. I know that one end is the 6 pin connector that plugs into the graphics card however it splits of to two ends which are both 3 pin connectors. Anyone give me an idea where I plug this in whether it be the peripheral cable on the power supply or whether they plug it into the motherboard? (MSI A88XM E45)

Cheers

It sounds like a dual molex to 6 pin adapter that you can use if your power supply doesn't have a 6 pin connector. I would strongly recommend you don't use it and instead use the one on your PSU.

that would connect to two molex (peripheral) connectors on the power supply IF your power supply doesn't have the connectors you need already, but they're sketchy and I avoid them like the plague as cliche as that sounds.

if you have the PCIe power connectors you need on your power supply, throw that adapter away(or keep for the rare time you might need it, but you really never should IMO

It's an adapter in case your psu doesn't come with the proper cables.
