hold just a min

that mobo you are using now will not power your FX 8 core

you need to change the mobo to at least the Gugabyte 970 UD3P or 990FX if you want to OC the heck out of your CPU

and you need to change the cooler to the 212 Evo/Plus

Why not go intel since you need to swap motherboards anyways since that board will probably overheat and shut down your rig

Good? I'm only planning on upgrading RAM (buying another stick), CPU, GPU, HDD, case. I already bought the new PSU.

Go for it. Check out other motherboards though.

Guys not planning on overclocking. The new BIOS update for that motherboard lets it support the FX 125w series.

even with no OC

the VRMs on the mobo is trash

your 8 core FX will throttle on high loads

Basically avoid any micro atx mother boards that you are using for 6300 and higher, listen to dragon. Asus vrm's are usually really good, but that is not the case since that board is really really outdated. Get either the UD3P, M5A97, Msi Gaming 970, or 990FX, but i'd rather get intel at this point, a cheap b85 board + i5 is a good combo, i believe its cheaper as well
