Is the HTC One M8 still a good phone to buy?

Hey! AS you can see by the title i am looking to see if the HTC One M8 is still a phone worth buying, or if it is a phone of the past!

I am interested in buying a phone that is relatively future proof as my daily driver.

now an 801 Snapdragon Qualcomm clocking 2.3 GHz to me seems like a fantastic processor! but people constantly tell me it will be abolished by the staple 805, and even 810 that will be coming out early-mid next year!

But of course i am very skeptical! So I turn to you great people of the FORUMS!

I should mention i live in the great land of canadia not boasting great carriers at all... I am with Rogers! So buying the Moto X is sadly not an option... I would like something that would be 0$ on contract!

Thank you! :)

I have the Harman/Kardon edition and I must say, it's fantastic! Granted it's my first Android device since I was sick of iOS, but this phone really is great! It seems like it'll last me the next 2 years easy

M8 is still a really good phone. The only thing lacking about it is the rear camera, so if you're not a big quality freak then that shouldn't be an issue. Not that the pictures look bad, it's just you can't zoom in much before things start to get blurry, due to it only being a 4MP sensor.

I would get it. Rogers has it for a good price, especially compared to the other competing offerings such as the Xperia Z3 and Galaxy S5.
