first of all, welcome to the forum!

This should be in New Builds and Planning, but dont worry, the mods will move it shortly. ;)

Usually you would use http://au.pcpartpicker.com/, but as you want to buy from a specific retailer that isnt supported by ppp, we will do it the old fashioned way.

The amd fx-6300 doesnt fit the chosen motherboards at all and is in a completely different price range. Dropped it.

As for the SSD, I went with a good quality samsung drive, as those are reknown to be one of the best for the price.

The case is always a very personal thing, considering design and esthetics. im just gonna leave the K380 in there.

The psu is overkill here, as this rig wont consume more than 400W. Even if you wanted room for a second GTX 970 later, 700W would be plenty. Changed that to a cheaper, still high quality psu.

Considering ram, two 8GB sticks allow for expansion to 32GB in the future, so Im gonna go with that.

I also went with the cheaper of the two motherboard to save some money. Unless you need one of the features of the G1, you dont need to spend that much on it.

GPU was also a bit of a weird one, because 970 and 740 are nowhere near comparable. Gone with gaming grade 970.

The cooler is fine.

Finally I added a HDD for storage.

to copy your part choice you need to export your build using the generated url or by copying the generated bb code

also why would you choose the G1 over the UD5H? does it have features you need, do you just like the red accents?

whether you should get a second 970 or single 980 alternatively depends on what games you play and on what resolution
