My computer is a custom built PC.

Operating System - Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit
CPU -Intel Core i7 2600K @ 3.40GHz
RAM - 8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 665MHz (9-9-9-24)
Motherboard - Gigabyte H61M-DS2 (Intel Core i7-2600K CPU @ 3.40GHz)

While working, suddenly my computer turns off!
Seconds hence, it restarts, all fans spin for a couple of seconds and then turn off automatically.
This happens again and again.
I thought it might be the CMOS issue and troubleshooted it, but no result!

Please help.
This issue is also with my friend's computer as well as by cousin's computer!

What cpu cooler do you have?

This might be a problem of the cpu overheating and the fans trying to cool it down thus system failure and shutdown

Are you using a video card or the enhanced Intel HD Graphics 2000/3000 integrated with the processor?  Bottom line is if it is the video card it could be faulty and overheating and shuts down to protect itself or some other component could be doing that.  Make sure all fans are working properly with the video card, psu, and cpu fan.  Also you could test the psu with a multimeter to see if there is an issue with it.

Too many ****ing games!  Back log 4 life! :S

my mobo is recently replaced under warranty and so are theirs..!!!

none of us have video cards as none of us plays games and stuff.!!

my psu is new, just 2 months old..!!

my cpu temp hardly goes to 58 when multitasking..else its just between 45-50.!!

and yes all of my fans are absolutely working, no dust, i do weekly maintainence of my computer..!!!

I use CM thunder 450..!!!

We know you are stressed, but the double exclamation marks is not really necesary.

I imagine all the cables being plugged in properly?

One extreme problem would be, that you are pulling too much current trough a single wall socket. When it happens,do other lights in the room/house start dimming/going out?

Is your pc hidden away inside some cabinet or does it stand free?

What is the flooring made of? Carpet or hard floor? Is the pc standing on the floor? If it's carpet and the pc is standing on the floor, your psu might be overheating

that double exclamation marks bother..thats how i type..LOL..

not stressed, but curious to know what would have been the problem..!!

BTW..All of my cables are plugged in properly. No sort of lights dimming out problem as my monitor, cpu, speakers, router all are plugged in different socket (NO SPIKE BUSTER IS USED)

and my pc stand FREE, so no sort of air flow issue..!!

and the flooring is hard floor and my pc does not stand on the floor, my whole setup is on an open wooden table..

It could possibly be a software issue. Do you have the proper antivirus protection? Do you in any way share files with them and/or are you in the same internet network as them?

exact words i thought brother..

but no..i and my cousin use use BD total security which we bought in a 3PC 1Yr package.

and talking about the OS..I tried reinstalling it but same problem exists..

The only thing I can think of that could do this sort of stuff, is perhaps a virus or even hard drive corruption.

i don't think it's hard drive corruption since 3 different pc's are having troubles at the same time.

Did you guys download something together recently? Did you do any torrenting? It feels to me like the pc's may have caught a virus.

I could be totally wrong though!

Are the three PCs in the same internet network? THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!

Yea, maybe you downloaded a cracked game recently or something...

If you have no data to lose, you could try re-installing the OS, therefor also wiping out the hard drive. This would only be a test though, as no one knows yet what's causing it so if you do it, you might do it for nothing, if a software/virus is not the problem.

Run CCleaner and clear out the registry. Registry errors can do all sorts of things. removing an error can also cripple antiviruses that could be in your system. You can get viruses and malware from anywhere and you would never know it.

Run CCleaner and then run a couple of passes with Malwarebytes 2.0, then run CCleaner again.
