Hi everyone!

My name is Stijn, and i'm currently saving for building my own gaming desktop. (Yey!)

I found all the parts already (which you can find on the bottom of my post), but the only thing i don't know anything about is CASES.

The current case i have in mind is the Zalman Z9 Plus...

...but not all reviews for it are positive, so I'm currently searching for a possible alternative.

Can you suggest some good mid / full tower cases?

Just paste some things dwon there you like and if it matches some of my requirements that would be great :3

Things I need in order of importance (1 is most important):

  1. ATX Motherboard support
  2. At least 1 x 2,5" SSD bay and at least 1 x 3,5" HDD bay
  3. Included fans + fan controls
  4. Usb, mic, and audio jacket
  5. Quiet (I don't live alone yet)
  6. Price (I don't have a budget, but preferably under € 100/ £78,30 / $ 120,02)
  7. Buyable in Belgium/West-Europe (West-Europe because who knows Belgium)
  8. Portability (Carrying handle/ standing on supports)
--> (I move a lot, so portability is a nice feature but NOT necessary)

All PC specs:

MOBO: Gigabyte GA-Z97X-Gaming GT

PSU: Corsair GS800

CPU: Quad Core Intel i5-4670K

RAM: Kingston HyperX Savage 2x8GB @1600mHz

GFX: Nvidia Geforce GTX 970 (EVGA FTW)

SSD: Samsung 840 EVO 500GB

HDD: WD Blue 1TB

Thanks already!

Stijn

Basic guide to CPU's!

If I said I were 14, you would call me a kid. If I say 70, you’ll entitle me too old. If I say 20 you say I’m inexperienced and if I say 40 than I'm too boring.

Phanteks ethoo Pro mid tower, this is a fairly new design so it has all the latest features.

Cooler master silencio 550

Fractal design R4 should be cheaper now the R5 is out

more expensive options

corsair vengance C70 has handles

NZXT H440

the air 540 is a great case but its not very portable.

My son's gaming computer has the H440.  It works great.  It does/has all the things you listed except for a built-in fan controller.   He has been playing a lot of Far Cry 4 without heat issues.    I can hear the three fans on the GPU when it's going balls-out, but it's still pretty quiet.

S340!

If you can spend more, rv05

For even more, ft05

All are portable, the first with small size, second with handles, third with small size and handles
