Hey guys,

I'm looking for 140mm fans for a 560 radiator. I went with SP120s on my 480 and 360s but for 140 Corsair only makes quiet editions.... I'm going with a blue/black/white color scheme so it must be blue, I don't like only black or only white. And at least around 1800 RPM

What fans do you recommend?

Thanks

This is some testing done on 140mm fans on a radiator. You could always plastidip the frame in blue/black.

When asking for a specific RPM bear in mind that 140 fans need to spin a lot slower to achieve the same airflow. So those silent edition 140 fans would probably fit your requirements too.

@Ghost I'm thinking that if I go 480 and SP120 HPE I would get better performance than 560 + AF140 QE

Surface area is king. Unless you want looks over performance (as you would have matching fans) go for 560 if you can fit it. You will be able to get better performance at lower fan speeds.

@Ghost for 560 at this point AF140 QE is the only option. Since I dont care about noise I'll put SP120 HPE on my 480 and 360s. Was thinking that 480 with SP120 HPE will outperform 560 with AF140 QE

I'm not sure if you have ever experienced the Corsair SP120 HP at full speed but when I got a pair of them I couldn't bear it and ordered a fan controller to slow them down in 1 hour after I installed them. You probably will see negligible temperature differences at all but extended extreme loads with the PEs.

You have way too many radiators at this point anyway and will probably be able to run passive/semi-passive most of the time. For your build (Just a CPU and a single 980), honestly a single 480 would be enough to have low speed fans almost all the time.

@Ghost I had 4 of them in my old case plus an AF120 PE, they all ran at 100% all the time fot like 7 months and I was completly fine. I know the rad setup is overkill but if I win at the lottery and buy dual xeons and 4 way 980s I'm covered :P I was thinking about putting my mobo under water too, it's a mid range 990fx only
