I do not recommend Green to people. But if it's a good deal and you can live knowing that it's slower than it could have been then why not.

Best Buy has a WD green hard drive on sale.  Should I get it? It's $82

it will be good for holding movies, music, and games that can run on slow drives. I have a 2tb Seagate Green its got 27000 operating hours, so i don't see why not.

I only recommend Green drives if you are using them as a secondary hard drive.
