I agree with everyone who said Moto E or Moto G. I go for the Moto E though. It's cheaper and the performance gap isn't that big when using it as an MP3 player.

if I wanted an android device like that, I would just pick up a Moto G 2013 prepaid VZW model which is only $100 new.

I take it it's for a kid otherwise it would be more sensible to get a phone.

Yes the samsung galaxy player but you are better of getting a fullsized phone.

if I was looking for a sound quality first music player though, I would consider the Fiio X1. not android based though, nor is it touch screen
