Video Editing Laptop $1k

Hi Guys

 

Need a new laptop to be able to do simple video editing for home videos on the go.

 

Budget $1000.

 

Now the issue is should i be looking for a laptop with a top end processor or something with more ram?

The Core i7 processor in the Y40 is plenty of power for video editing. 8GB of the base model is perfectly fine for 1080p video editing, however if you really feel as though you need more, a model for $1050 is available with 16GB, or you could always upgrade it yourself later on down the road.

Core i7 processor based laptops performs well for what you ask for.
