CPU VS GPU

looking to buy an amd laptop for gaming (garrys mod,dayz etc, nothing too intensive) and basic video editing for youtube videos,    ive found one with the best gpu possible (r9 m290x) but it has a old 5750m cpu, ive also found one with their newest kaveri apu (fx 7600p) with dual graphics but the 2 cards in dual graphics are an r5 and an r7

 

so whats better ?:

 

1) kaveri apu (fx 7600p) with r5+r7 dual graphics

2) old 5750m cpu with r9 m290x graphics

Hmm... are you on a strict budget? why not go with a Nvidia Gaming laptop with 970m or 980m inside they have much better performance

The 5750M isn't that old and I'd go for that. However, as these games aren't really intensive, you can go for something cheaper. Maybe something with an 840M and an i3...

Garry's Mod doesn't support Crossfire (dual graphics), so the M290X would be better for that. Not sure about DayZ

im not bothered about limiting my options its just my personal preference i want an amd laptop, and no offence but id rather people didnt comment anything if all there going to say is get intel/nvidia, i made the thread hoping people could help with my question not just critisize it, thanks

think ive just answered my own question, the games ill be playing are not the most graphic intensive games and from watching this clip i think im going to get the one with new cpu and 2 average gpus, because even if i turned off 1, the games ill b playing can run on 1 r7
