Grid and Grid 2 are pretty good.
If you like rally you might aswell like Dirt 3 and Dirt Showdown

And I forgot, if you like really crazy stuff, then also Trackmania. Theres also a free version of it.

Assetto Corsa is probably your best bet, theres also beam NG drive(very good collision physics not really too much like forza/gt but still a hell of a lot of fun), Grid Autosport, Any of the dirt games, the crew

That's not going to let your PC explode. Just create an account if you don't have one already and usually it logs in automatically. No big deal.

It's already been suggested, and it's not entirely "real" but... N4S Hot Pursuit is a great time with friends.

That's funny, becuase I just bought grid autos port after about a year of playing grid 2, and I thought the same thing. Grid 2 with much more aggressive AIS and wicked high speed cornering is just more "fun".
