should i trust my mobos cpu temp reading ?

download a program called HWMonitor

so im warry of my motherboards cpu temp reading (19c at idle ) where intel xtu says its at 28c .... so i guess what im asking is what number should i trust ?

the current list of dead cards is as follows 2 evga gtx 980ti acx 2.0 , 1 evga gtx 980 acx 2.0 1600mhz core 2100mhz ram golden chip card ... failed hardcore , 1 290x that caught fire , 1 hd 7950 .

If you're really that worried about real-time temp readings, use a thermocouple  :lol:

 

But yeah just use HWMonitor, it gives you better readings of most of the hardware in your machine, including socket temps & vrms
