PNY GTX 780 Enthusiast

ARod

Got a ridiculously good deal for this card so I snatched it up.  Selling the MSI 7970 Boost to my brother. Although it is PNY......they really didn't do anything to the card itself aside from throwing a factory OC on it.  It has the Titan cooler which is rock solid and works very well.  Noticeable boost in FPS playing Crysis 3 at 2560x1440 with everything turned on, not that the 7970 had any trouble at all, the mins and max are around 10-15% higher.  It has yet to get over 80C on everything I've tried.  It's audible at peak but better than the 7970 and the MSI Twin Frozr III treatment is one of the better ones for the 7970 on thermals and audibles.  Running the Nvidia drivers that came with the unit, 320.11 and no issues there either.  Gonna wait till all is clear with the .18 version, maybe it's just sensationalism going on but I don't want to chance it.

Anywho, for those that were interested, it's a decent card for the retail price of $650.00.  The MSI is obviously a better bang for buck at $400.00, it gets the job done, you just can't beat it from a $ standpoint.  If I wasn't in a position to sell the 7970 and if I i had to pay retail for the 780, I definitely would of stuck with the 7970

It looks great, you shouldn't be so skeptical of the 320.18 driver though. I've been running it for weeks without any issues, I think people are just looking for something to blame other than themselves when their cards die.

The stock Titan cooler is fancy enough I'd say!
