CPU overheating troubles

Go to solution Solved by legendnb,

its a laptop so its kinda hard to replace a cooler

how long have it been since you did some maintenance work?

either bring to a laptop fixing service, or you can do yourself,

  1. remove the back panel of the laptop to access the cpu,
  2. remove the heat sink, and clean off the thermal paste off the heatsink and chip,
  3. clean the heat sink fan/ all the fans
  4. reapply the thermal paste
  5. put everything back

its a laptop so its kinda hard to replace a cooler

oh haha should´ve thought about that. sry

activate vsync and go over the air intakes and exhaust with a vacuum cleaner.

Maybe you need to replace the thermal paste, but I´m the wrong person to ask for how to go on with this.

Laptops are designed that way.

But I don´t like the idea that I can boil water with them ~.~

Laptops are not designed to run at 100C.

Some people might not have loads of  money to spend on a pc. Just because i dont have a pc doesnt mean that you need to patronise me.

you can actually get a pc capable of running mincraft at comfterable fps and resolution for as little as 350$-400$

to get back to the issue, if you feel the laptop itself, does it feel really hot? it might just be the temp reader that somehow broke... if it is actually getting this hot, i'd advice you to replace the thermal paste, either by opening it yourself and cleaning the existing off with a cloth drenched in alcohol and applying a small dot of high quality thermal compound, or by taking it to a local hardware repair shop (though not all shops will do this for you..)
