I think Prime is based more around the perks than it is on saving money. Well unless you do a lot of two day shipping.

You get access to their movies, music, etc for free.

I signed up for the 30 day trial so that I could get all my Christmas gifts shipped in time. I cancelled it today.

Since I have to wait for a day off before I can hop across the border to pick up the stuff, waiting an extra day or two is usually a requirement for me rather than an inconvenience.

@Flight1sim yeah there are a lot of perks with Amazon Prime, but since I don't typically pay for faster shipping and already have access to services lie Netflix, etc. Not worth it. They also charge you like $1 for dropping them, and if you don't drop them, then they automatically charge you once the trial is over.  :P
