Any differences between the AOC, LG, and ASUS 21:9 monitors?

So I'm planning to pick up a 21:9 monitor sometime in the future, but I don't really know which brand would probably be best. All that I know is, the LG versions are more documented.

 

There's the AOC one:

There are 2 LG's, and I have no idea the difference between the two, but one of them is ~$100 more:

Silver and looks unique. Different from all of them.

I believe the aoc one isn't colour calibrated like the LG. Not sure about the others though.

So the major differences between the LG ones and the Asus ones are which are better for gaming? 

 

It's weird because aren't they both IPS panels? I'm a little confused here

I am happy with my LG ultra wide. Don't see any ghosting and colors are really good.and on mine no back light bleeding.

Yes, they're both IPS panels but just because it's IPS doesn't mean it'll perform the same. They all have different levels of input lag, even if they're using the same panel, as there are other things going on in regards to processing.

Yup. I can't remember which was affected, but there was one that was pretty atrocious.

Man that's such a shame! Especially after Linus did the whole test comparing input lag. I recall Kingston doing the same thing with their SSD's.

FWIW I believe it was RV01 that was the worse one, so as long as you're getting a newer one (and do check, just because it's in a store now instead of then doesn't mean it's just unrotated stock) you should be fine.

well i just use it for gaming and programming and watching video's. but i really like good colors and i don't like it when a screen is not good. Like i said the only problem i have with the LG once are the stand is really nothing special. and i would recommend getting an Vesa stand like i did there are only $35 and gives you all the freedom of a very top end stand. if you plan to use some of the other inputs methods like the 2 pc on the once screen i have not tester them but it seems really well made.
