Hey so I was looking about and it sounds like its a pretty darn good idea to pick up an SSD, even if it's just for storing your OS (mine would be windows 7/8 64bit).

My build was built on a budget of £450 which I then pushed back to £550 which I am again £20 over so what is the cheapest possible SSD I can get in the UK and would it be worth checking eBay?

This is my build:

What do ya think of it?

For SSD this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Crucial-CT120M500SSD1-120GB-Internal-Solid/dp/B00BQ4F9ZA/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1419985345&sr=8-2&keywords=crucial+m5

About the Ebay thing: if it's from a good seller and it's new then go for it, otherwise, nah.

i'm a potato

There is the Kingston ssd now v300 for really cheap but it's a lot slower than something else a few dollars more. I recommend just finding something on sale from crucial, SanDisk, corsair, etc. I usually avoid eBay.

You can check out eBay, good deals do definitely go by. I've scored some awesome deals, just be warned that you don't have as easy a warranty as if you bought it from a store.

Though the better companies will still offer you assistance.

Try a PNY SSD. I saw a 120GB Optima SSD for 50 bucks.

Alright.  I have owned "the cheapest" SSD.  I bought a OCZ Vertex 4 for $50 on a Black Friday sale, 120GB.  However, for me I wouldn't go this route again (and coincidentally I didn't).  Here is the thing.  Save your money, struggle with the 30s boot on a HDD until you have the money for a proper SSD.  My $50 SSD actually worked wonderfully, but 120GB is just not enough, regardless of price.  With WIN7, and nothing left on that drive, it constantly would run out of space, no matter what I did.  Honestly, just save, and when you have the money, get at a minimum a 240GB drive, so you can actually install a few programs.

That's my two cents, though

Cheers
