Go to solution Solved by c0d0ps,

Ok.

I will get the R9 280 and I guess I will pick the AMD because, if I´m not happy I can still change it later

also, can you change the power supply to corsair.

:D

Yeah, you can always change.

And look at some benchmarks before you order to see that it is stronger.

I have already changed to 550w gold certified psu from corsair.

http://pcpartpicker.com/user/c0d0ps/saved/VhWypg

Not a fan of amd, only way they are faster is if you OC, which you need better motherboard, cooling AND psu for.

Under 700-1000$ they are better at video editing which doesn't require a whole lot from the motherboard cooling etc.

But for strictly gaming the intel one is better.

When you can get an i7 and stuff then Intel is better again.

For rendering best thing in that budget is CUDA.

I am not a whole lot into rendering and stuff. But I don't think so. Not from what I've heard at least.

Yeah sure. No problem.

My throat hurts so I can't eat my dinner anyways :P

http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/280590-8320-vs-i5-4460-gaming-editing/

They're saying that the i5 is better at gaming but amd cpu is better at rendering and such so you should choose what is more important.

The other one is saying if you get good aftermarket cooler and oc the 8320 is better choice. Which I also think.

What do you think of this one? https://pcpartpicker.com/user/c0d0ps/saved/VhWypg

I couldn't get in 16 gb of ram and you can possible get 12 gb ram for a less powerful gpu. But it will let you play most games at high-ultra and minimum if medium settings. (on 1 1080p monitor)

i would go with a r9 280 insted of the gtx 760 becuse it is a little bid cheaper most times and a little bid better

Non bias you can get an amd r9 280x which is stronger than gtx 760.

Bias to nvidia 760 is the strongest you can get.

https://pcpartpicker.com/user/c0d0ps/saved/VhWypg

For 749 you can get the sapphire 280x. Sapphire makes only cards for amd like Evga only makes cards for nvidia and I think sapphire makes pretty good and cool (not hot) cards.

This is 5 bucks more though.

If you don't got that you can get the 280 instead which is cheaper and less powerful but still stronger than 760.

I am kinda tired now but in a couple of hours or tomorrow I can send you some benchmarking tests comparing 760 to 280 and/or 280x.

I also will surf in the web (amd or intel) but I will make a new topic

It will most likely start an amd vs intel war but thankfully less fights on this site/forum compared to other sites.

For this price point and need I am pretty sure amd is the way to go but good luck. And have fun with your computer whenever you get it up and running.

Here is my thread on the subject, if you wish to look.
