Go to solution Solved by c0d0ps,

Ok.

I will get the R9 280 and I guess I will pick the AMD because, if I´m not happy I can still change it later

also, can you change the power supply to corsair.

:D

Yeah, you can always change.

And look at some benchmarks before you order to see that it is stronger.

I have already changed to 550w gold certified psu from corsair.

You can get a hybrid drive for those couple of euros, it will definitely feel nicer.

I couldn't get in 16 gb of ram and you can possible get 12 gb ram for a less powerful gpu. But it will let you play most games at high-ultra and minimum if medium settings. (on 1 1080p monitor)

He said he will do more editing/work than gaming so why did you go with an i5 over 8320?

The 8320 is better at editing and will probably fit him better..

If it was the other way around that he did more gaming than editing then sure the i5 would be better.

And I have heard that the asus version of 280(x) is not good compared to the other because they didn't change much/at all from the 7870 or whatever it is from.

does the motherboard support usb 3.0?

can you change the gpu to a nvidia with the same price and performance as the r9 280

That would be the gtx 760. I will do it asap.

I am not sure but I can look for it and change if you want.

You would get better performance with amd at this price point if you are mostly editing and stuff over gaming.

If you were only gaming it would be a different story ..

This cpu is great for editing + gaming together.

But will get beaten by the intel cpu in some types of games but both are great.

High end games usually/if not always are multi core friendly which means the 8320 will be able to use most if not all cores. Which makes it pretty strong.

If you want I can send you some bench marking comparisons and you can decide from there.

But both would be perfectly playable.

Not a fan of amd, only way they are faster is if you OC, which you need better motherboard, cooling AND psu for.
