so i was wondering here, upgrading my video card that does fx-4300 support x16/x16 pcie lanes? sapphire trixx says that my video card is running pcie 2.0 8x and since it is in 16x slot i am a bit confused :D help pls.

and about motherboards and processors should i go for intel or amd when i will upgrade my processor and mobo?

Not sure about the first question, but to answer your second, Intel is superior. (But more expensive) An i5 4690/k Is better than a FX8350.

On AMD it's determined by the motherboard as the northbridge is off die (e.g. it's a separate chip).

 

970 supports x16 x4 crossfire only

990X supports x16 x8

990FX supports x16 x16

and 760g is 16x only

 

All PCIe 2.0

 

If  you intend to upgrade an Intel solution will be a far better choice.
