Which build?

Go to solution Solved by kameshss,

Do not buy SSDNow drives. They are very problematic and unreliable, pay a little extra and get something from samsung or intel.

^

V300 drives are really slow, not 'price to performance', unreliable. Simply I call it a CRAP!

MX100 is a really good choice! or Samsung 840 evo!

Choose between these two.

you dont need an i7 unless your going to do intense video editing. so i would go with option 2 with the 980

I'm pretty inclinced to agree. I do some recording and editing for my channel, but its never very intense, and I'm fine waiting like 20 minutes to render. With my old laptop it took an hour for a 25min video at 1080p and with an i5-520um. This PC will be an uber improvement.

I'm not asking for builds, just build quality advice. I like to do it myself, as I do it well, and know what I want, and frankly it gives me something to do. Just looking for build quality advice and which is better performance-wise.

The gtx 980 would be better for games.

I'd recommend something like this though: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/DsvFpg

and to put the extra money towards a sooner future upgrade.

I'm kinda leaning towards the 4690k/980 for the better gaming performance.

The 980 performs better but is much more expensive than it is better than the 970.
