before you install the GPU

did you install the AMD drivers?

what GPU were you using before the 280X?

Okay, install the old card back and see if the system boots up fine. It might be a problem with the 280X.

I uninstalled my Radeon HD4870 Drivers and didn't install the new one's in yet

yea it may be a good idea to install the latest drivers before you install the new GPU

it boots fine with the 4870 but this is the second card I have tried that would freeze when booting and would freeze in my bios, I read somewhere that it could be my bios drive is out of date or my PCIe 16x wont actually support it,

So today I was able to finally try my GPu on a different computer and I found out that it is just my motherboard that isn't compatible with the GPU, but thanks for all the help.

check if your mobo has any BIOS update

maybe the BIOS do not identify your new GPU
