corsair link not detecting h100i

I got a new mobo and cpu today and I wanted to change the colour of the logo to match but on the software it does not show anything how can I fix this?

I somehow got it working by tweeking the registry.

Care to share? I saw a video how but that didn't work for me.

I looked it up somewhere on TomsHardware, changed a few things, replaced a regedit something file and backed it up.

Don't listen what other people are saying.

They released an update a while ago fixing the Windows 8.1 bug.

Corsair Link is still very buggy, try plugging in a mini USB into the H100I (Located on the left side), while plugging the other end into a USB port on the back of your computer and testing that, to see if it's detected. 

Using a cable like this:
