I just plugged in my GPU to monitor for the first time, and I get this screen. I've updated my mobo and GPU drivers without the GPU installed and I've installed my copy of Windows 8.1. Pleasr help!

So you got this issue after installing 8.1?

No, I installed it and it worked perfectly without the GPU. I added it and plugged it in with a DVI cable today and I got that screen.

So many people have issues with 8.1. My only suggestion(never used 8.1 before) is to reinstall Windows.

Try turning off fast boot.

Yes, I updated the drivers when the GPU wasn't installed.

He means the BIOS.

No, that isn't Fast Boot. I believe it's found in Windows as well.

How do I find it? Now I get that same screen without the GPU.

Try zipping around in the BIOS. It MIGHT be found there.

For me, fast boot is in the Boot menu of the bios. (along with secure boot, boot order priorities, etc..)
