hey guys,

I'm planning to buy a ssd for my new pc setup  in the coming months
i'm just wondering which is better
the Intel  730 series (250gb) or the samsung evo 840 (250gb)
this is excluding price/ budget factor

i just want to know which will give me better performance and durability

the 840 is faster as far as I know, but the 730 is more reliable, as intel is very good about that sort of thing with their SSDs. I personally have the 840 evo 250gb in my ultrabook and I love it but if I had the money, I would get the 850 pro 250gb

The 840 Evo performs better and Intel is legendary for reliability.

Regarding durability, either should last longer than you need it to for everyday usage.

Intel drives in my experiences have been very reliable, I do however think the Intel 730 is a bit overpriced I would conciser looking at the 530 as well.

840 is better IMO.

If you want a reliable drive go for Intel 730.

once i have made a choice, and find a retail that sells in my place

i'll make a post on the build log since i am going to make a new pc by next year
