how many different video players and drivers do you have installed?

what are you using for sound?

that last post.............. never, ever, heard this or experienced that before. when they move, are they bigger than they were before?

Only the ones for my current nvidia card, and no they just get moved like the screen resolution was forced to a smaller resolution then going back when I restart?

disable windows updates. disable windows auto driver updates.

uninstall the nvidia drivers (from add/remove programs).  reboot.  let windows find the card. do a custom install on the nvidia drivers. ONLY install the graphics driver and the physx driver. NOTHING else.

again, what are you using for sound?

now you need a set. hard to believe your monitor doesn't have a any. I hope you're uninstalling stuff or disabling stuff as suggested as we go or we won't find a cure. OPEN the control panel and look under sound to see how many different options there are for sound.

by the way, that includes CHROME! i see another person suggests a different browser. 2 people can't be wrong.

next thing you can try is a system restore. I hate to use those before actually finding a solution but your machine is in your hands not mine. copy whatever you need to a disc or drive before doing so. go back to a time before this stuff happened.

Really? So if two people suggest you ignite your computer, they're automatically right? That's a seriously flawed statement. System Restores are only so useful. If the hardware is having issues, it won't do any good.

you use chrome? I tried it. worst thing I ever used. we're trying to  eliminate potential problems. if OP doesn't do things it won't get us anywhere. I also think it's software related at this point. unfortunately the "online" fix is taking longer than antisipated.

I have used Chrome for a while. No issues. But again, your statement was highly flawed.

Only thing under sound is my headset.

I have done many system restores in the past to try to fix this issue with none working, another one probably wouldn't fix the issue.

That application doesn't want to install, just times out everytime. Also if its just a driver updater a person earlier posted one that I used and only had one driver outdated which is fixed now. Also earlier I stated I have reformatted before with it not helping the problem at all.

Have you tried resetting CMOS to see if that will fix your BIOS settings? There's obviously something going on there that shouldn't be. Take the battery out of the mobo then put it back in. I don't know much about AMD, but have you ever overclocked the CPU? maybe it's just worn out. OCing is guaranteed to shorten the life of your hardware.

I never tried to OC, BIOS automatically enabled some OC-like settings along time ago without telling me and probally reduced its life.. Its currently has every setting that OC's the CPU to off. I can try taking out the battery. See if it does anything to help.

Have you got the latest drivers? Try updating all your drivers. A good application for this is Driver Booster.

http://www.iobit.com/driver-booster.php

OP please do NOT download this software. iobit are very widely known for infecting people with malware and are just a fishy company in general. Diver update programs can seriously mess up your PC to the point of operating system corruption so bad you are forced to wipe and reinstall.

It is really best and safest to install drivers manually or by ONLY using software provided directly from the manufacturer.
