IMHO: that's the ugliest 290 ever. I think the best looking 290's are the XFX DD and the Asus DCU2

IMHO: that's the ugliest 290 ever. I think the best looking 290's are the XFX DD and the Asus DCU2

And then there is the back-plate and blue PCB :D

is it a good GPU, apart from the horrible looks?

Reviews seem to be good, is good cooler, keeps cool.
