Got a Question about EVGA PSUs

Go to solution Solved by Zeke,

When ECO mode is enabled, the power supply fan will not spin until a specific temperature is reached. To enable ECO mode, there is a switch on the back of the power supply. With ECO mode enabled the fan should not run until the power supply hits 40c. If the temperature reaches or exceeds 40c the fan will turn on to prevent overheating.

Basically it's Corsair's Zero RPM fan mode you can toggle on or off, but this one kicks in depending on temperature, not load.

Hi guys,

I've just got a quick question, which may seem like a stupid one, about EVGA PSUs.

If you take a look at the picture of the back of an EVGA PSU you'll see the following:

What's that switch for?

Just been really curious about this.

Thanks in advance. :)

Any unknown button should be pressed even number of times.

Thanks to everyone for their help for what was a pretty noobish question. My first guess was actually economy, but yeah.....wasn't sure.
