I have plugged in my new gaming PC to the wall and have the monitor (VG248QE) connected as well. But when I put a display port cable from the monitor to the graphics card in my PC, it says no signal and it is also the same with HDMI cable. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks

Upcoming build: 4790k OC @ 4.6Ghz, Dual MSI 980 Twin Frozr V, 16 GB Vengeance Pro 2133Mhz RAM, 760T Corsair Case w/ Razer Blackwidow Chroma

Are your supplementary power connectors plugged in?

Just received it via Scan.co.uk. Just one rather stupid question, it is compulsory to have DVI when running DisplayPort?

So try another monitor and try it to connect from the iGPU -may have to remove the GPU to make it work-.

I'm running 4790k with an H100i, with dual MSI 980s, with a MSI Gaming 9 AC Motherboard. The graphics cards are lighting up and the computer has power as does the monitor. What do I need to connect from the from the computer to monitor?

Did you build this PC? You just need a compatible video cable, which you already have.

Got it built for myself from Scan.co.uk, know this PC inside out, just cannot seem to get a signal from the monitor whether using HDMI or displayport.

Take out your RAM, re-add a stick, and turn on the PC. If that doesn't work, switch to the other one and try again.

remove your GPU

plug your monitor cable to the mobo display

and power on to see if you get any input
