Eeeewww. Sickle flows..

If you're gonna go overkill, go GTs or Eloops or IPPC Noctuas

Should I get corsair obsidian instead?

There are many choices and i cant help you if you dont tell us what you want to do with it, what are your requirements etc... i see you got some watercooling in there.

since you are making "overkill build" id say sit down and look at cases and think it trough, dont just impulse buy. corsair, phanteks, nzxt are also good brands with good choices.

also get new samsung ssds, normal wd blue is fine for data storage, better fans ( you expect expensive build to be quiet ) etc...

many adjustment could be made to build.

no one should ever buy velociraptors anymore, they were sweet in like 2005

Intel 4670K /w TT water 2.0 performer, GTX 1070FE, Gigabyte Z87X-DH3, Corsair HX750, 16GB Mushkin 1333mhz, Fractal R4 Windowed, Varmilo mint TKL, Logitech m310, HP Pavilion 23bw, Logitech 2.1 Speakers

can you explain your build, requirements for looks / usage scenario etc..?

Whats that evo doing in overkill pc with 8 core cpu :P ? Even if you run it at stock clocks id still go for quieter cpu cooler with better mounting and cooling,... ( noctua )

And what fans have you chosen?

If you're going to go overkill, you might want to go to the audio sub-forum and have them bash on the x-540.

That among other things.

I'd suggest to read before posting: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/3061-build-plan-thread-recommendations-please-read-before-posting/

This belongs in the New Builds and Planning section. I'm moving the thread.

^ Sickleflows are my best example of mediocre fans.

eLoops are alright but not as good as GT's, Noctuas, or BeQuiet!'s.

Yes, the bequiet!'s are really good fans too.

eLoops are still up there.. aren't they? I've done quite a bit of research on rad fans and they've come out with very high praise wherever I have looked, as have the other popular NoiseBlocker fan (Multi-Frame? Blacksilent?) I though that eLoop's the were on par with the GT's but with a less pleasant sound signature. Could be wrong though.

Anandtech has the SickleFlow as a really bad fan:

eLoops are good but a bit overpriced for their lack of versatility and their 'less than perfect feeling' build quality.

Their other fans are good and better priced.
