Go to solution Solved by dragoon20005,

hate to say this but the 860K CPU is a brand new CPU

and previous batch of A88X mobos only support the A10-7850K

your mobo need a BIOS update to accept the 860K

go back to the PC store and grab a cheap APU to boot the mobo to BIOS and then perform a BIOS update

I built my first computer and after I connected everything and powered it up. The fans were spinning and everything was going "well" but my monitor says no signal. Please Help!

Parts:

CPU: AMD Athlon X4 860k

GPU: XFX Radeon R9 270x

Memory: Corsair Vengeance 8gb (2x4gb)

Motherboard: MSI A88xm-e35

Hard Drive: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1 Tb

PSU: EVGA 500w 80 plus

Case: NZXT Source 210

All the Parts also seem to be compatible so I don't know what's wrong.

Make sure your monitor cable is plugged in well in both ends, plug it into the motherboard. Remove the video card, unplug any hard drives, ssd's etc from the motherboard, and remove all but one memory stick, in the first memory slot. Remove the cmos battery for a minute or two, put it back and try to boot

No display what so ever. So I need a new cpu for the bios update?

just bring back to the PC store where you bought it

ask the sales person there to borrow a APU

provide them the latest BIOS file extracted in a thumb drive so that they can update the BIOS for you

Everything seems to be plugged in so that doesn't seem to be the problem
