Hello LTTers,

Firstly, Merry Christmas :D

However for me I'm kinda baffled. After 20minutes or so of installing 'The Crew' via 2 dvds (legit copy, by the way) and using the included product key to activate the game on Uplay, It's now prompting me to download the game. I thought this was a patch, but then saw that uplay is now downloading 20GB worth of files. I've tried launching from the game discs but to no avail. Why did I bother installing the game via disc if it was going to give me such a large download afterwards.

Any Ideas?

FAQ:

Why did I download from disc?

Shit Internet.

Ew Ubisoft!?!

Shut up.

Because Ubisoft just keep on digging.
You should know better than buying Ubisoft games.

Or they actually managed to screw up so badly, that they had to issue a patch that basically changed EVERYTHING in the game.
Considering they even screwed up Tetris on the PS4, this wouldn't surprise me.

Don't blame Ubisoft. They have their flaws.

Try installing the game without your internet being on.

No patch is 20gb, rarely DLC packages either.

Perhaps they might have messed up and directed you to download an updated version of the game,

if that is the case, you should probably just download it through the internet and not install from discs.

And if that product key doesn't work, contact Ubisoft on what happened seeing as they should give

you a product key or activation guide since you have proof of actually having the discs.

Couple days late :P the 20GB download ended a while ago. Thanks anyways.
