Is AMD ram good

I recently put together my New computer

MOBO Msi gaming 5

CPU I5 4690k

RAM micron industries 4gb 1333 mhz DDR 3 bought in like 2008 used as a place holder

GPU Sapphire R9 280x

The question I was wondering was is when I bought my card I also got a 10 dollar off coupon for 18** mhz ddr3 ram 8gb is this a good brand of ram or no?

Its decent as long as its cheaper than something like g.skill, corsair. go for it

Nvidia is to Dr Dre Beets as AMD is to KFC.

One makes you broke, the other you can get more of and have a midnight snack from the fridge when hungry again. Once you go Nvidia, you go broked, turn into an Elitist, or get the incorrect amount of VRAM.

It hurts so much but I do it for Fifflaren. I can feel my butt tearing as my eyes start to water. I push against his force. I want to please Fifflaren. He roars a viking roar as he fills my butt with his love. My dad walks in. Fifflaren looks straight into his eyes and says; "He is a ninja now". Fifflaren is love, Fifflaren is life

RAM is RAM to be honest, likely all made by the same 3 manufacturers (Samsung, Hynix, Elpida).

You won't need to over-clock as it's a fairly high clock anyway. (Plus it has little impact on gaming performance.) As for compatibility, it should work fine with your motherboard.

When shopping for RAM go for what's cheapest with a recognizable brand. I run a 2x4 GB Radeon Performance 1866 MHz kit in my machine and it's been fine for over a year now. That's only because I got it for free from AMD. Otherwise I would probably be more compelled to buy the G.Skill Ripjaws X series.
