Battlefield 4 questions

Hello. I just bought  BF4 and I have never played Battlefield before. When I want to play the game it first runs Origin, than I click play and it opens http://battlelog.battlefield.com/ and only from there can I really run the game. WHATTT? Is this really the only way to play this? Isnt there another way to just run the damn game and select campaign, multiplayer, etc from the game and not damn browser? I really hate this....really.

It's the same thing with BF3. Just get used to it it isn't that bad.

OMG...I hate this sooo much. So stupid, complicated and plain dumb. How in the world did they come up with the idea to do that!!! Instead of double clicking the icon and run the game I have to double click to run origin, sign in, hit play, than browser runs and than I have to look for play again, wtf wtf wtf.......seriously EA!?!?

No there really isn't.

It also has the problem that the shitty addons it needs to do it's thing don't necesarrily run on firefox fork's like palemoon or waterfox. Was really frustrated with Battlefield 3 for that reason at some point.

You can just go to the website and launch from there by signing in you don't have to open Origin first. It's actually pretty easy to navigate after you get used to it. It was an odd idea but not that bad of one.

you can just go directly to battlelog and pick a server from there. join one, when the game starts, it loads the map and you're in the server. it isn't that bad. you can customize loadout from battlelog too.

You can just add it to your favorites in your web browser.

yes, because it makes SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much sense to use a clunky interfaced, memory intensive, unintuitive, in-game browser interface just to browse stats, unlocks, loadouts, and servers

 

compared to doing it all in a familiar WEB BROWSER with all the functionality of a web browser (back, forward, multiple tabs, quick refreshes) and letting the game just function as a game

 

I'll never understand the nerd-rage at Battlelog. Get over it, it's different, but highly effective. It makes more sense when you actually use it. Quit nerd raging.

you're a bit late to the party, everyone has already raged all there was to rage about this ^^ it certainly contributed to my decision not to buy bf4 after playing bf3.

all you need to do is double click the icon and the web browser pops up and you choose a server.  you're throwing more steps in there and completely over complicating it.

You can just bookmark battlelog in your browser and just start the game there. joining the game will start up origin and everything necessary.

Many...most of the games I have you just run off steam or just double click the icon and than you manage everything else from within the game menu. And it works perfectly and it is perfectly organized. But this thing with BF...comon you cant possibly think this is easier or better in any way...seriously? I ll still play the game, I just don't like the way they went about this.
