Hello Everyone,

I currently have a PC with a Cooler Master HAF Stacker 935 Case (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Cooler-Master-STACKER-stacked-Modular/dp/B00FP34KZI#productDetails).

I'm not currently using the top compartment of the case and am wanting to set up a relatively cheap server for playing games such as Minecraft/GMOD etc.

I'm not very experienced with server specs so I don't really know what I should buy so if you guys could offer some suggestions that'd be great. The case is Mini ITX. I have a budget of about £300 and it doesn't need to be that good of a server because only 3 or 4 people will be using it at any one time.

Thanks!

This should do you fine. Feel free to change some things :)

A Celeron and 4GB of RAM should be fine... No need for a G3258. And an SSD is definitely not needed.

Well if he is gonna be running mods or other things in Minecraft (not sure if he will), 8GB will be useful. I'm not sure how much his Gmod server will use, but I felt with 8GB he would be sitting comfortably. And an SSD? Doesn't hurt to have one, and it'll help keep his server running smoothly, when loading files, and chunks. And I chose a G3258 because it seems to be a pretty good CPU, and has lots of positive reviews. But like I said, he is free to change anything, if needs/wants to. :)

Jus get a amd fx 6300

A low powered GPU or any jus better than CPU integrated will do

R7 250?(for Ur mods)

16 GB of ram (for Ur mods)

Ull need a lasting hard drive

Get a WD black 1tb (for Ur mods storage)

And also get a gold to platinum no or semi modular cheap PSU as servers in mc have to be 24/7

Cs450w from cosair

I play mc and I hate non 24/7 servers

One last thing

Invite me to Ur server Lol

Make me a moderator if did build works our ^,^

It'll be more expensive solution

But Minecraft is inflating and the mods are op

I've seen gaming PC hardly handle some mods and just crash

So my build would be fine

If u can

Spend as much on CPU and RAM if you know PC hardware

Also please state a budget so I can give specific recommendations

“It would seem that Our Lord finds our desires not too strong, but too weak. We are half-hearted creatures, fooling about with drink and sex and ambition when infinite joy is offered us, like an ignorant child who wants to go on making mud pies in a slum because he cannot imagine what is meant by the offer of a holiday at the sea. We are far too easily pleased.”
