Built A new pc recently but still needing aftermarket heatsink for my 8350 and looking for A new pc case also. Question is, looking hard at havik 140, I have m5a99fx mobo with corsair vengeance (high profile x2 sticks) and wanting to know if HS will clear ram if first dimm slot is empty, also if it will fit in corsair 500r case that I was looking towards purchasing as well. If you know anything as good or better for heatsink around 60 bucks and case around 100 USD, your suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for the help

Since you have Vengeance ram, I would go with an AIO cooler like a Zalman LQ310. Been using this on the 4670k and getting around 50c stock clock when on load with AIDA64.

Not quite sure about closed loop water cooling. Might have to go with the 212 evo for HS, since I cant really find anyone else with the same mobo (m5a99fx) with havik 140. I saw the fractal design define R4 windowed and that looked incredible. I'm kinda looking for  A case that is quiet but still has good ventilation to keep componets cool, as well for the HS. I live in arizona, need it as cool as i can get.

For $50 you can get the Phanteks PH-TC12DX and performs pretty well. The blue version with white accents would look very nice in a fractal build with a blue mobo.

Thanks for the info guys, Ive gone with the fractal design define r4 windowed version for the case, and Havik 140 for the heatsink. Going to buy some blue braided cable extensions as well, will post up pics when I get all the parts in. Thanks again.
