How much better is...

It's noticeable for sure.

Does depend on the native res of your monitor though.

A LOT. I hate using my Chromebook with it's 1366x768 display. And that resolution at anything more than 17" just looks like shit, IMO.

Well my primary monitor is a 30" 1360*768 tv.

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)

get a 1080p monitor. NOW

I ordered one already actually. I'm just wondering how much of a difference I will see.

Well, TV's are not very good for computer usage in general. But upgrading to 1080p actual Computer Monitor would definitely make a difference. I prefer 1440p when going 27" or above.

The one I ordered is only 24". So I'll be fine.

I went from 19inch 1600x900 panel to a 27inch at 1080P. at 27 inches, it might not be the sharpest thing ever, but i can not see the pixels. and the size makes it great for sitting back and, well. anything really. your going to see a huge improvement, because your size is shrinking, and the resoultion is increasing. your PPI is going to take a huge leap. just remember your FPS is going to drop from the higher resolution, so make sure you lower your game settings or you have the hardware to handle it

Yeah totally.

My aunt got a 27" 720p screen because she wanted big icons......It was not pretty. Color was off, text was horrible, the screen was super big and thick....
