my school uses light-speed web filtering. i can use my own laptop on the WiFi so i can change any setting or download any program. is there a way to get around it so i can watch YouTube and get on Facebook?

make yourself a hotspot is the expinsive idea have you gone into settings and done anything? I really don't knowI think my school allows facebook and youtube, mainly because we're not fancy and have stuff like that.

My schools blocking. Is basic. I just use https to get around blocked sites.

It's not that easy if his school is using the same security as mine. This thing is VERY VERY VERY hard to bypass.

 

A friend of mine got tor to work so you could try that.

 

And do you happen to go to Northland Pines?

First enter that^

https://www.facebook.co.uk/

Then replace .com with .co.uk^

https://www.facebook.com/
Then replace .co.uk with .com again

 

That's how I get onto Facebook in SERC. Not a clue what it uses for web filtering though

try using a vpn. Many will let you use port 443 the normal https port so you know it won't be blocked.

TOR or try if if they aren't blocking the google data compression proxy (this encrypts sides which aren't using https itself) 

 

I hope you wont get kicked from school because of using this.

one of the view websites i actually use alot though dont block. this one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
