hello ,

im looking for some help on overclocking amd fx8320 processor. ive never done cpu overclocking before and im a big gpu overclock head. so ive decided to squeeze some performance out of fx8320 but it is a bit difficult than i thought it would be im currently running on a asrock 970 extreme 3 r2.0 (...meh...) it does not have a friendly bios to begin with. if some one worked with the asrock bios please let me know what and how to do the stuff in it.

I'm using an ASRock Z97 BIOS. If it's anything alike, find your CPU multiplier, or some thing of the such, and change the ratio. Yours should be 35. If you want 4 GHz, put 40. If you want 3.8 GHz, put 38. I'm sure you get it from here.

What cooler are you using?

 

You shouldn't try pushing any FX processors without a good third-party cooler.

hyper 212evo i think its a good cooler.

your bios looks way diff and better.
