Does my cpu have pre-applied thermal paste

CPU's don't come with paste pre-applied, the cooler does

no, but the cooler should, or if you get a aftermarket cooler it should come with some

The stock CPU cooler does come with pre-applied thermal paste, and some aftermarket coolers also come with pre-applied thermal paste. If you're going to use aftermarket cooling, you may need to get a small tube of thermal paste (though some aftermarket coolers also come with their own little tube of paste)

i7 not perfectly stable at 4.4.. #firstworldproblems

nopes the stock Intel fan has pre-applied TIM. most aftermarket coolers do not

have pre-applied TIM. some of the AIO liquid systems come pre-applied.

but stockwise, just the fan is pre-applied, not the actual CPU.
