Cheapest 120hz IPS monitor?

IMPERIUS

Hi!

What is the cheapest 120hz IPS gaming monitor? It must have hdmi for my ps4 and some other input for the pc. 23' or above. And please dont just list the cheapest one from pcpartpicker, I already took a look at it. And why does nobody list the monitor' refresh rate? Not amazon, not newegg...

Thanks

I don't think anything above 60Hz is available for IPS if I remember correctly.

IPS is max. 60Hz ATM. Also, for PS4 it won't have any benefit since its max output is 30-60 fps. If you have a PC that can push more than 60fps, that's something else. In which case the BenQ XL2411Z is a good one at a reasonable price.

No such a thing... IPS panels are slow, they usually don't go above 60Hz. If you want to go higher, you have to get TN.

For IPS, you need to do a little more research mate, IPS overclocking panels are quite rare, but they have come back due to popular demand. Yamakasi Q270 2B is an example of IPS panel which can overclock. I have been out of the loop for a while now, but these panels obviously are the same panels that LG use in their monitors. So with a little research you could possibly find out which LG branded panel has the same board as this catleap Q270 2B and get that. That panel should overclock, you won't be guaranteed 120hz but this is your best bet.

I've included the link to the ebay page where you can buy them. They were selling for almost $1000 when they stopped making them. They replaced the 2B's with the 2C (which couldn't overclock) so they cashed in on the popularity of the 2B, but now they're back! Not sure for how long though. You should consider a PLS panel korean A- or not such as the PB278Q. PLS panels overclock better (IPS panels in my experience either overclock or don't).
