No. You're good. And you can just install the graphics card, your clock speed will stay the same. Just plug in your monitor to your gpu when you install it.

no, shouldnt be a problem.

dont use prime95. aida64 is all you need basically.

Prime 95 is fine for haswell. Just don't be a complete sausage and use adaptive voltage.

Put it on manual during overclock (I steer clear of Prime and use Aida64) then adaptive once you are done. Using adaptive while overclocking and stress testing can cause some nasty voltage spikes that can fry your chip. These spikes shouldn't occur normally though- voltage will ramp up and down smoothly.

No and don't use Kombustor, it puts an unrealistic load that can fry your GPU regardless whether it's OC'd or not.

Linus seems to use it. Why would he use it if it is so bad?

i have never heard of people frying their GPUs with Kombustor .-.

I'd just follow this guide. I personally keep it manual.

people do.

even linus recommends it.

Linus isn't the final answer m8. I run manual with LLC to eliminate nasty voltage drops or spikes. Although Ivy Bridge is a different ball game. I do let it use power saving though so that the voltage isn't constantly at 1.36V all the time.

But people shouldn't feel the need to just do what he says all the time though. That's what I'm getting at.

Multiple guides have there opinion on what voltage option should be selected. Manual or static just works out better i think.
