Ello,

My mum said she'd buy me http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231537 (fine, Christmas gift to myself :P)

Is this product still relevant? I really like the speed and timings and price point.

I do a little video editing and compressing and always seem to be maxing out my Kingston HyperX Blu 1333MHz CL9 8GB :P.

Try and just getting 8gb of your current memory, maybe try to oc it to something like 1600mhz.

I'm replacing it and using it for my grandpa's computer. It's actually Kingston HyperX Blu 2x4GB, so he'll just have them both. Only major reason I want to upgrade is for the lower CAS latency and aesthetics.

I can't find my old RAM model on Amazon btw.

If that's the case, then you might as well look for 2x 8Gb kit rather than 4x4Gb. Leaving you 2 more slots for future upgrade.

I'd recommend G.Skill Sniper ram. The link here is for 16Gb (2x8GB) of 1866 ram for $120.

As the G.Skill is on sale, here is an alternative. I've used TEAM before and they work great. This is also $120, but it's only 1600.

My arsenal: i7-9700k Gaming Rig, an iPhone, and Stupidity.
