Need Help Choosing Combo

1st I7 4770 with this motherboard

ASUS H87M-PRO LGA 1150 Intel H87 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 uATX Intel Motherboard

or

 

2nd i5 4670K with this motherboard

 

ASUS Z87-PRO LGA 1150 Intel Z87 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

 

Any input is much apreciated.

Depends what is this for? Like gaming build, editing, both?

Go with the 4770 and the H87, because the i7 has 4 cores/8threads and the i5 has 4cores.4threads. Also you don't need to worry about overclocking your CPU because it is a non-K processor and the MoBo is not for overclocking.

If you intend to OC, 4670K with the Z87 board.

Would the 4670k over clocked be a better choice vs the 4770.

4770 would be better. In content creation, 2700K beats the 2500K a bit because of the extra threads. http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/ivy-bridge-benchmark-core-i7-3770k,3181-16.html

keeps you on budget. and you get the 4770k. even if you dont overclock now, you always can in the future.

I was actually thinking of getting that one but on newegg it was 170 and i was really impressed with it and the look was very nice compared to the fake gold on the asus. Il proably order it and the i7 in the morning. Thank you i would have never have found that deal i guess i should have shopped around a bit.
