Which OS?

I've used 7 for a long time now, but I tried out the Windows 10 preview and loved it. I'm definitely going to purchase Windows 10 once it's fully released but which OS should I use until then? Windows 7 is great but I like the cool interface of 10 and I know 8.1 can come close to that. However I don't like the interface of 8.1 that much and I've heard endless complaints and people saying it's the worst OS along with Vista and every 2 years Windows does this. I also know that you can change 8.1 to be like 7 and it runs games better.

 

I just want an OS that can be like my 10 experience, I will stick with 7 if that's my best option. However if 8.1 is the better option then I will switch to that if I can make the interface actually easy to navigate. Anyway, I'm just trying to decide here. Thanks for any help in advance!

8.1 then upgrade to 10 for a small fee.

Use Windows 8 because it is slightly faster, you can put Classic Shell on and have a start menu, and you have a much higher chance of getting Windows 10 for free

Keep 10 preview, there's no reason to spend money on a copy of 8.1 for just a couple of months. If you don't want to use 10 use 7. Just don't buy a 70$ os just to swap it out for a new one so quickly.

Not that I know of, but it's almost certain that it will be Q1 2015. Even if it was Q2 it's probably not worth it to purchase a full os for 5-6 months.

Windows 8.1 is actually pretty decent. While I enjoy using it, I must confess, Win7 was a solid OS.

 

I'm really looking forward to Windows 10 coming out.

Backups fix all your problems ^^

But we don't know that for sure, in fact it isn't looking that likely right now.
