Is buying an Intel Core i7-5960X worth it? or should i go with a normal i7? Cause i need an upgrade from my i5 and if i want an i7 extreme i need to buy a new mobo AND ddr4 ram, in total the upgrades are gonna cost me over 1500$, when i could just get an i7 for 300-500$. And if i choose a normal i7, which one should i go with?

What will you be doing? If you're just gaming, grab a 4790K, or 4690K.

Just buy a 4790k.

extreme edition is not worth it unless it is your job and you make money off it...

Thx a lot, im just gonna go with an i7 4770K because i do a lot of gaming but the huge upgrade to an extreme just isn't worth it.

If it's just for gaming, get something like i5-4690K. You can get that 4770k if you need more power, but don't get that 5960X and the rest of those upgrades as it'll cost too much

One day I will have my GTX 970. One day. PC specs are at my profile.

Not sure how to check what part works with what? Check out my compatibility guide!
