Plz help (cod)

Well I just got cod 4 off of steam and I downloaded it and then I installed it no problem but when I click play the game starts but I cannot see the game I can only hear the game.So this is what I have tryed to do so far. I have reinstalled it...same thing then verifyed installation and every thing is good.So what do I do now?

What exactly is happening? Is it going black screen?

Do you have any Anti Virus/ Malaware running?

1.yes the screen goes black but I can hear the game.

3.yes GPU is a amd r9 280x

Try disabling AVG. My Anti virus stopped me from downloading a game before.

I had the exact issue you where having with Civ V before... Can you Alt + Tab out of the game onto desktop?

Ya thats the only way I can close the game.

I was having a similar issue on a different game... Try waiting for it to load (Seems kinda obvious but give it some time).

If that doesn't work restart your computer then try.

 

If neither of these work I don't know.
